How it works

From sign-up to first tap, in four steps.

Pick a plan, set up your profile, activate your card and start sharing. Your profile stays editable the whole time.

Getting started

Choose. Set up. Activate. Tap.

  1. Choose a plan

    Start on Hi for free, buy a Card once, or pick a subscription. You don't need to finish your profile first.

  2. Set up your profile

    Add your photo, details and links, and pick a look. Change any of it whenever you like.

  3. Activate your card

    When your card arrives, tap it on your phone, sign in and choose the profile it should open.

  4. Tap and share

    Hold it to a phone, show the QR code, or share from your Wallet pass. That's it.

Three ways to share

  • Physical NFC card

    Tap it to a phone and your profile opens. The card carries your QR code too, for phones that don't read NFC.

  • QR code

    Show it on your screen, print it on a sign or a slide. Every plan includes QR sharing, Hi too.

  • Apple & Google Wallet pass

    Add your TapQip pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet and share from your phone, even when your card is at home.

Compatibility

Works with the phones people already carry.

Modern iPhones and Android phones read NFC, so a tap opens your profile. On older phones, or if NFC is switched off, anyone can scan your QR code with the camera.

Hold the card near the top of the phone.
Android
Hold the card near the middle of the back. NFC needs to be on.

Update anytime

Change it once. Every card follows.

Change your title, photo or links in the dashboard and every card you've ever handed out opens the new version. Same for your QR code and Wallet pass.

    Edit it as often as you like. The change is live straight away.

  • Cards handed out

    All of them open the new version. Nothing to reprint.

    Same link as before, so they keep working too.

Lost it? Switch it off in seconds.

Report a card lost from your dashboard and it stops opening your profile immediately. A replacement is $24 and keeps your profile, your link and your history.
